Picasa Web Matrix Finished!
Just finished the Widget for Picasa Web Albums. If you have an account and want to display your albums on your WordPress blog, then simply use Picasa Web Matrix, type in a few details in the preferences and you’re all set!
Features:
- Display your Picasa Web Album images on your blog
- Automatically randomizes your album thumnails on every page refresh
- Preference how many albums to show
- Customize layout with CSS
- Add a custom title to the Widget, or leave blank for no title
This is pretty sweet! Do you think it would be easy to integrate a whole album into Wordpress instead of just a widget/thumbnails?
nice work mate
.
Hi! I’ve got a question, I’m trying to make the thumbnails smaller, just like on your site. How do I do this? I can’t figure out how to use the CSS class either. I add the class to my theme’s style.css, but I can’t see any changes to the pictures rendered.
Does this widget work with wordpress that has files stored in secondray folder rather than main htdocs?
[...] With Picasa you can probably have a web gallery up in a few minutes. If you use the downloaded version of WordPress you can install the Picasa Web Matrix plugin to get random pictures from you gallery on your site. [...]
I seem to have problems with the widget in WordPress 2.2. It me, or is there an incompatibility?
“fopen(/home/.gerard/danielgc/danielgc.com/wp-content/plugins/widgets/picasacache/Mayo2007FotosDeDanaEnElKinder.jpg) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream”
Wordpress 2.2
Is it incompatible?
Thx a lot!
Great widget, thank you !
@Daniel GC: I’ve been using it with WP2.2 -> no problem, be sure to use the RSS link from an album and not from your homepage/overview.
