Best music (so far) for 2007

Music so far this year that is worth listening to:

Interpol - “Our Love to Admire”
Some are saying it isn’t that different from their last releases. But I feel it’s a little different, and with Interpol, you can’t veer too far off. This is a great record with strong hooks.

Arcade Fire - “Neon Bible”
This is my favorite band. Probably the best record released this year (so far). Very moody. Keeps your attention the whole time. Very theatrical. Very serious.

Unkle - “War Stories”
Unkle has released some really good stuff in the past. But nothing compared to “War Stories.” 14 tracks of genius song writing. Guest vocals all over the place. Track 8, “Mayday” with the singer from The Duke Spirit is my favorite on the album.

You’ve listened to the latest White Stripes album: ‘Icky Thump’ right? Thats a top album for 2007 in my book.

By the way, you got me listening to Arcade Fire. I never heard of them before your YouTube post. Thanks. They are one of my favorites now as well.

I have to agree with you 100% on the Arcade Fire album. Neon Bible has been one of my favorites since it came out and continues to be. Great Choice!

I disagree with you on the uncle cd. I find it hollow and lacking substance. As much as I like their first album, once dj shadow left they never fully recovered.

I think 2007 saw a lot of great music. I don’t think war stories was a part of that
